Dr Toh Chee Keong is a Medical Oncologist who graduated from NUS. He received several scholarships and academic medals, including the Gibb’s gold medal, and was on the Dean’s list in its first year of inception. He completed his post-graduate training in internal medicine, obtained his MRCP (UK) and subsequently practised at National Cancer Centre, Singapore (NCCS). He was also visiting consultant to Changi General Hospital and clinical teacher at Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine.
Dr Toh has special interests in head and neck oncology, thoracic oncology, genitourinary oncology and melanoma, in addition to general medical oncology. Under the HMDP programme, he did drug screening basic research at Burnham Institute for Medical Research and clinical attachment at the UCSD Cancer Centre. He has received grants from SingHealth Foundation and National Medical Research Council for his research works. Through his research and clinical works, he had an important observation of non-smokers with lung cancer in Singapore, which was published in an established journal. Dr Toh has published many papers in journals and written several book chapters. He is also principal investigator and co-investigator of many clinical trials conducted in NCCS.
