Is the procedure painful?

You will typically experience a warm sensation as the acid works into your skin. A stinging sensation can be felt if stronger acid solutions are used.

A cold towel which is placed on the skin at the end of the procedure will help ease any type of discomfort.

The whole procedure lasts approximately 30 min including cooling down. No dressings are needed.

What happens after the peel?

You can return to work after the peel. Your skin may feel tight or sunburned.

The proper skin regimen of cleansing, moisturising and using sunscreen is highly recommended after a peel. Sun exposure should be avoided.

Over the next few days, the skin will start exfoliating, revealing a softer and more youthful skin underneath.

How often?

This depends on the condition of the skin. A minimum of 4 treatments separated by about 4 weeks each would normally bring out the best results.
